Blasting, Sirens At Warrington Quarry Tuesday
Eureka Stone Quarry, Inc. will conduct blasting activities from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday on Easton Road.
WARRINGTON TOWNSHIP, PA — Quarry blasting will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today at the Warrington Quarry on Easton Road, township officials said.
Eureka Stone Quarry, Inc. will be conducting blasting activities as mandated by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. All blasting activities will be monitored and conducted according to state and federal laws, stated the blasting notice on the township's website.

- At least 1 minute but no more than 2 minutes prior to the detonation, an air horn signal of 3 bursts, each lasting 5-10 seconds will be sounded.
- Following the inspection of the blast area, a single 10 second air horn signal will be sounded.
Adverse weather conditions, equipment breakdowns, personnel illnesses and other unforeseen issues may make it necessary in the interest of safety to conduct unscheduled blasting operations on occasion.
