I saw Bigfoot. I mean I finally got to ride on a Silverliner V

I finally traveled on a new silverliner V

There have been numerous stories in the media about the new rail cars that Septa bought, the Silverliner V.  I ride the train every weekday, and I saw one once. It was on the north bound side of the Glenside station.

That was about five months ago. I have spoken to other riders. Some have ridden on the car once. Others have seen them from afar. Others have never seen one let alone sat on one. The new cars were like Bigfoot. There are videos but their authenticity has been questioned. There are pictures but they show Silverliner V in other countries. People report seeing one but they are not believed.

I was just getting ready to write a letter to Septa to ask what they did with the money that was supposedly spent on the cars. Then on my way home, I was waiting for the R2 at the Glenside station. Suddenly I looked up and what did I see but a seven car train going to Warminster. Every car was a brand new Silverliner V.

I fell in love with the car instantly. There seems to be more head room. The space between seats is a little wider. The seats have high backs. I am 6'6" and I feel more comfortable in the cars. The stations are automatically announced and there is video displaying the next station stop. The ride seems a little smoother. The cars seem a little faster. I am going to enjoy going to work a little more.

I hate to be a doubting Thomas but now that I have ridden in a Silverliner V, I believe that they exist. Like an explorer, I now have proof.
