The Powers That Be
Not all those in a powerful seat are bad, not all are good but....
With all the talks about recession, budgets, bailing out, and so on, it really annoys me to still see good people losing their homes, not being able to afford to go to the doctor, and having to choose between paying a small bill or buying food.
I mean, come on already, there are so many great prospects of fixing these issues, but it seems the powers that be are only interested in benefiting those who already have things.

Now, I’m not in the seat of the powers that be, and I am not saying that their roles are not hard, but what I am saying is, instead of handing over bailout funds to the mortgage banks, wouldn’t it be more beneficial to have the individuals who are in need of the funds to pay their mortgage actually receive the check from the “FUND” to submit to the mortgage company, which then in turn would make their situation take a new, much better direction.
Just a thought, I am sure I could come up with more!

But to move on, what about those who can't afford those doctor bills? They either can't afford the insurance or just don’t have it! There is nowhere for them to go, so well, let's see another thought. What's to say the powers that be can't pass the law to have equal medical coverage for all?
But again the powers that be are hard at not working for those who are working! I know some people who are collecting from the system, who have no reason to be sitting on their butts just wasting taxpayers' dollars, they are on probation, parole or just plain lazy, collecting assistance, getting full medical and, here's the kicker, there is no reason for them not to work! So in a nutshell, we have the system paying them for their “mistake” or “laziness.”
Now, as I am a strong believer of positive thinking and believe me it works, I believe that there are very good solutions to these issues. I believe that those in the power seats need to use their energy to make good decisions for everyone, not just the rich. I believe the system is there for people who need assistance, not for those who are abusing it!
I see good, hardworking families doing without while some individuals who are spending their days at the meth clinic, collecting some sort of assistance walking around like there’s nothing wrong with that. Oh please, if you are trying to get off drugs then get off them, don’t get hooked on another controlled drug just so one can stay stoned! Again not all who are going to these places are on assistance!
But the general, well pet peeve of mine is that those who are doing what is right all the time for their families, their world and so on are the same ones who are scrimping and doing without while those who are not as honest and upstanding are getting!
If things are to change then those powers that be need to be enlightened, for them to realize that it's the everyday person who is in need of things, it's the ones who break their backs and not the ones who break the laws, or work the system. Wake up powers that be, stop assisting those who already have it and those who are milking the system! Just another random thought!
