When Was The Last Time You Had Yours Smooshed?

I know it's summer and we're all up to our eyeballs entertaining the kids, managing our homes and doing our jobs but I wonder.....When was the last time you had yours smooshed?  Do you even remember?

You all know what I'm talking about or at least you should!  I'm talking about YOUR MAMMOGRAM ladies!  When is the last time you had yours?  Please don't tell me you've NEVER had one if you're over 40.  You all know better and worse yet I'm sure you all know someone you care about who has had breast cancer and yet you still haven't gotten yours?

Ladies take care of yourself!  Get those mammo's today!  Call your doc and get a script and head right on over to the Wellness Center on 611 and walk right in and get yours done.If you don't want to go there go somewhere!    It could save your life!

Recently during conversation I realized how many of you just haven't ever even had one and that ladies is unacceptable!  I heard the gamut of excuses....I don't have time, I heard it hurts, I'm scared, I don't know where to go, I'm embarrassed and the ever popular....It won't happen to me!  Make time!  It doesn't hurt. If a mammogram scares you I wonder how breast cancer will make you feel?  I've told you where to go!  Really if you've seen one boob you've seen them all and the techs are professional.  They see boobs all day long and really yours aren't all that interesting.  Finally....if you don't think it will happen to you look into the eyes of someone battling breast cancer and ask her if she thought she'd get it!  Bottom line....THERE IS NO EXCUSE!  Take care of yourself!  You owe that to your family!

While you're at it make an appointment to get your yearly pap test done too!  Too many women are dying from breast cancer and cervical cancer due to neglect!  Early detection is key and it does make a difference.

If breast cancer runs in your family get yours done before you turn 40.  Speak to your gyn and ask when you should start getting your yearly smooshing done, ladies!  It could just save your life!
