Women and rights

Women are natural born leaders, in a society ruled by men for a very long time, too long in my opinion. Women are finally starting to stand up and be heard again. In history there have been some great women, women who have been heard, seen and felt by all.

In today’s society we have observed how the men have ruined what was most people's daily lives, we have seen things crumble beneath our feet. Now I am not saying “all” men are in this category; however, in business, and, yes, politics is a business, women have mainly taken a back seat.

While I have observed many leaders within the business realm, I have noticed that in past times women have been the backbone of the home front. Father has worked hard and mother took care of the home, family and finances.

But women, and I’m not speaking about the generation of most 16-25 year olds, have now been stepping up, doing it all, running businesses, home and family all at the same time. I have seen many men finally realize that, although they are strong, they are much more effective with a woman who is as equal in every way to them. Hence, the term “power couple” and, in my opinion, we now have one in charge!!!!

I sit and listen to those pigheaded men who bash the fact that a specific man in charge is of color; I sit and listen to those same men segregate different nationalities, downing one and, oh yeah, of course praising that which they are.

I hear these same men speak in a specific demeanor towards women, as if we are not able to comprehend just what it is they are talking about. Sad to say but these same men I listen to each day, I am more then capable to run circles around them in business, running companies and running a household.

When we chose a specific person of color to run one of the biggest businesses there is, we got a great deal on the package, we received a “couple” who can think outside the box at times, a couple who respect each other not only as business advocates but as parents, and, in plain terms, as people.

So, I say, instead of women taking back what we know is the correct way of doing things, I say, let's stand tall with a partner as equally strong and intelligent as us, let's focus on doing what we do best and making all that arrives within our paths a much better path for others, let's “fix” just what those pigheaded individuals have done, let's show them that as usual we will heal the wounds of that which is broken without ever batting an eye.
