Bucks Co. Music Festival Celebrates 75th Anniversary
The Centennial School District hosted 600 student musicians for the two-day festival last week.

WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — The Centennial School District celebrated the 75th anniversary of the Bucks County Music Educators Association festival, hosting 600 student musicians last week.
On March 13-14, William Tennent High School hosted the student musicians from across Bucks County for a weekend of incredible performances.
"We cheered on 60 Centennial students from William Tennent High School, Log College Middle School, and Klinger Middle School who earned their spot in this prestigious, auditioned festival," school officials said.

Audiences were treated to a spectacular global musical journey featuring incredible performances by the selected choir, orchestra, and band.
The weekend showcased a diverse repertoire, ranging from the beautiful, serene notes of "Water Reflections" to the uplifting energy of "On Top of the World."

The Bucks County Music Educators Association was started as a formal organization in 1950 by a group of music teacher administrators.
All schools and music students in Bucks County are invited to be involved our yearly auditioned festival. Originally, only students in grades 9-12 participated in the Band, Orchestra, or Choir.
Over the years, the festival has expanded from three to six ensembles. Now, there's also Middle School Band, Middle School Choir, and Middle School Orchestra.
Guest conductors were Lance Jones and Dr. Patricia Cornett.
Centennial music teachers Gina Lenox, Michael Regosch, and Frank Bauerle coordinated and directed the ensembles.
“The 75th Annual BCMEA Festival was an incredible success, and Centennial was proud to host such a meaningful milestone event. Featuring three world-premiere commissions and remarkable performances by students from across Bucks County, it was a true celebration of talent, collaboration, and music education.,” said Christopher Goppold, Music Coordinator for the Centennial School District.
