Bucks County 911 Named PA's Emergency Communications Center Of Year

The Ivyland Borough-based center was recognized by two state agencies for its emergency efforts.

IVYLAND BOROUGH, PA —Bucks County 911 has been named as the state's Emergency Communications Center of the Year.

The center received recognition from the Pennsylvania Department of Health and the Pennsylvania Emergency Health Services Council.

Bucks County’s Department of Emergency Communication was specifically recognized for its longstanding dedication to education and training.

"Thank you to our dispatchers and EMS team who keep us safe every day," Bucks County Government said.

Bucks County 911 said that one area identified during the award ceremony was its continued partnership with the EMS community, specifically regarding the evolving Intermediate ALS program.

"Thank you for recognizing our team of dedicated dispatchers who are a link in the patient care chain," Bucks County 911 said. "We are very fortunate to have great partners in the EMS community including the Bucks County Emergency Health Services team, Dr. Wydro, and the EMS Chiefs Association."
