NOVA Honored By County Commissioners for 40th Anniversary
Wednesday, October 15, is NOVA 40th Anniversary Day in Bucks County and the nonprofit's celebration and auction fundraiser at The Fuge.

In recognition of Network of Victim Assistance’s four decades of efforts to respect and enforce victims’ rights and address their needs, the Bucks County Board of Commissioners issued a proclamation naming October 15, 2014, NOVA 40th Anniversary Celebration Day throughout the county.
Forty years ago, Connie Mayers of Langhorne and Yvonne Kaye, a human services worker, pulled together a group of women and formed Women Organized Against Rape, Bucks County with a dream to improve conditions for rape victims in Bucks County. With the addition of more services and a shift in focus to include programs for victims of all crimes, the name of the nonprofit was changed to Network of Victim Assistance about 10 years later.
On Wednesday, October 15, NOVA will mark this important milestone as well as the formal closing of the highly successful $2.1 million Voices Against Violence campaign. The evening’s celebration and fundraising from 6-9pm at The Fuge in Warminster features silent and live auctions, food, wine, raffles and opportunities to honor longtime supporters.
