Bucks County Employers Expect Hiring Increase Over 2015
More than two-thirds of respondents said they expected an increase over 2015 hiring.
RecruitmentQueen.com, Bucks County’s digital job board, distributed a survey to 1,100 employers in December to get a better understanding of their employment needs and challenges in acquiring employees.
Respondents represent the following industries: healthcare, nonprofit, energy and utilities, transportation, finance, education, professional services, manufacturing and staffing agencies.

· More than 95 percent of hiring managers expect to hire new employees in 2016
· Of those hiring, almost 67 percent said they expected a hiring increase over last year

· More than 40 percent of employers plan to hire 40 or more employees
· 16 percent expect to hire 350 or more new employees
After reading negative national news about job losses and fewer job openings, Jennifer Schultz, CEO and founder of RecruitmentQueen, decided to examine the Bucks County employment field.
“You don’t see reports locally, just on a national level,” Schultz said. “My intention is to always educate employers and job seekers.”
Through the survey, which was done with Survey Monkey, hiring managers said jobs will be plentiful in healthcare, nursing, automotive, financial, insurance, customer service, sales, manufacturing, staffing and education. As more companies anticipate hiring in the coming months, 30 percent said their biggest challenge is a lack of qualified talent.
