Bucks Emergency Services Getting $727K Grant For Upgrades

IVYLAND BOROUGH, PA —Bucks County Emergency Services is getting $727,000 to modernize its public safety equipment and programs.

U.S. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick secured the funding that will allow Bucks County Emergency Services to replace 5,100 portable radio batteries and chargers for every police department in Bucks County.

Fitzpatrick said the replacements are critical, as a significant portion of the existing equipment is approaching the end of its operational life.

The funding will also provide for body cameras, which aim to enhance officer-community relations and officer safety, the congressman said.

"I am proud to have partnered with Bucks County Emergency Services to support necessary upgrades to public safety equipment and programs," Fitzpatrick said.

"This $727,000 investment will provide our local law enforcement with the resources necessary to effectively do their jobs while addressing a strong public need. This modernization of our emergency services will ensure that we can live in a safer and more secure Bucks County for years to come," Fitzpatrick added.
