Calling All Volunteers: Warminster Fire Department Seeks To Fill Ranks
The Warminster Fire Department has pushed for full-time coverage and has scheduled four meetings to explain how it sought a grant.

WARMINSTER, PA —The Warminster Fire Department is looking back at 2022 but looking forward to this year as it seeks more volunteers.
The Warminster Fire Department's volunteers responded to 677 calls for service last year and attended more than 11,500 hours of in-station training.
More than 2,000 hours of details such as public safety education visits were performed as well, the fire department said. The department also staffed 118 duty crew shifts and attended more than 100 courses.

Fire officials said five new firefighters completed their training and three more were onboarded and will complete their training shortly!
"We are thankful for the commitment our members have to our community, but we need to acknowledge that volunteerism is down nationally," the fire department said in a Facebook post. "Volunteers continue to provide all of the needed coverage for our community and are needed more than ever. "

The Warminster Fire Department said that it and the Hartsville Fire Company are "feeling the pinch" like other departments filled out 100 percent by volunteers.
The fire companies have scheduled four meetingsto explain how they sought full-time staffing through a grant with the township but it never materialized. Firefighters even went before the township supervisors in September to seek an explanation.
The Warminster Fire Department seeks volunteer firefighters to fill the ranks and administrative personnel to help run the organization.
