Centennial Education Foundation Names 3 New Board Members

One is a police officer while another works for county government. The board supports the Warminster-based school district.

WARMINSTER, PA —The Centennial Education Foundation has named three new members to its board of directors.

The new members include an Abington Township police officer, Bucks County's Recorder of Deeds and a school district alum.

The non-profit organization is committed to providing “above and beyond” educational opportunities, programs, and projects for students in the Centennial School District.

The board is responsible for identifying programs that support the teachers and students, seeking funding, funding, in-kind contributions, materials, and resources, and building a strategic plan for a strong future that will continue to support the Centennial community.

Andrew Stahl, of Southampton, works for Abington Township Police Department as a police officer and is a proud William Tennent Alumni, Class of 2015. He is also a second-generation CEF Board Member, as his stepfather, Bob Stahl, was a co-founder and member for many years.

Dan McPhillips, of Warminster, is the Bucks County Recorder of Deeds. A lifelong resident of Warminster Township, McPhillips is a product of the Centennial School District, having attended Willow Dale Elementary School and Log College Middle School.

During his time as a Township Supervisor, Dan collaborated with the Bucks County District Attorney’s office to install a Prescription Medication Drop-Off Box at the Warminster Police Station, one of the first 24/7 drop-off locations in Bucks County.

In 2013, the Bucks County Board of Commissioners appointed Dan to serve on the Bucks County Community College Authority Board.

Bianca Eckhardt, an alum of the Centennial School District, pursued her academic journey at West

Chester University, culminating in the attainment of a bachelor's degree in early childhood education and special education.

Subsequently, she acquired certification in Speech and Language Pathology, followed by the completion of her master's degree in special education, with a specialized focus on Autism.

Throughout her professional tenure, she dedicated herself to the education of students ranging from kindergarten to second grade with special needs within the Philadelphia area, where her pedagogical approach emphasized empowerment, inclusivity, and a nurturing sense of belonging.

Additionally, she served as a board member for the Governor’s Cabinet and Advisory Committee for People with Disabilities, leveraging her firsthand teaching experiences to provide valuable insights aimed at enhancing awareness of the diverse needs encountered daily.

“CEF is honored to welcome Andrew, Dan, and Bianca to the Board of Directors. Each one brings their own gifts of time, talent, and perspective to assist the Foundation in realizing our mission. It has been a wonderful experience getting to know them and I look forward to the future of how they will impact our programs,” said Jennifer Schultz, the foundation's executive director.

The 2024 CEF Officers are: President Max Weintraub, Weintraub Financial LLC.; Vice President Carolyn Fisher; Secretary Nancy Linville, and Treasurer Tom Greenwood.

With a mission to support educational programs, scholarships, and in-kind donations —they have been successful in giving over $1,000,000 in grants towards experiences that have
benefited more than 100,000 children in the school district. These programs vary yearly, however, some highlights include anti-bullying, STEM, STEAM, art, reading, language arts, and mental health grants, among others. Additionally, during COVID, they added to their mission by raising funds to help feed the community that the school district serves.
