Among the entries, Centennial took two top prizes: an Award of Honor in Graphic Design for the CSD Fast Facts, and an Award of Merit in Photography for the American Education Week Collection.

"As a cornerstone of fostering understanding, trust, and collaboration within school communities, public relations, and effective communication are paramount for school districts," Schools Superintendent Dana Bedden said. "Transparent and proactive communication not only strengthens relationships with stakeholders but also cultivates a positive educational environment where students, parents, teachers, and the community can thrive together. At the heart of every successful school district lies a commitment to open dialogue and strategic public relations efforts that elevate the educational experience for all. We are proud to again be recognized by PenSPRA for the work being done in CSD and by our Communications & Marketing Specialist Mr. Nate Ross.”

School officials said the awards reflect the district and are made possible by the "passion, dedication, and support that our students, staff, and community show for Centennial each and every day."

Ross said that Centennial strives to keep the needle moving forward.

"As our district evolves, so must our approach," he said. "Effective communication within our school systems has never been more essential in today's dynamic landscape. It serves as a conduit for community engagement, fosters trust, and plays a pivotal role in showcasing our schools to enhance our brand and foster a sense of belonging."

Ross said that the many recent accolades the district has received stand as a testament to the transformative changes implemented in recent years due to the district's team and leadership.

"In Centennial, every action is geared towards the advancement of our students. We strive to make a meaningful impact on their lives, regardless of scale," he said.
