Centennial School District Begins 2024-2025 School Year

WARMINSTER, PA —The Centennial School District welcomes students, faculty, and staff for the start of the 2024-2025 school year on Wednesday with a continued focus on efficiency and effectiveness, school officials said.

Schools Superintendent Dana T. Bedden said he is pleased to reaffirm the district’s commitment to creating an environment where every student is empowered to thrive, emphasizing academic excellence, social-emotional learning, and equity.

Over the summer, the district worked diligently to prepare for the new school year, enhancing facilities, refining the curriculum, and expanding student support services.

The efforts aim to provide students with the best possible educational experience, helping them reach their full potential.

This year, the district has also made significant operational changes to streamline leadership, improve efficiency, and reduce costs.

Key administrative positions have been consolidated, saving the district more than $178,000.

Existing roles have been restructured to increase responsibilities for several staff members, ensuring balanced oversight across critical areas such as academics, student services,
safety, and security.

“By optimizing our administrative structure, we’re not only saving money but also ensuring that we continue to deliver the highest quality of education and support to our students and families,” Bedden said. “Our team is well-positioned to handle these expanded responsibilities, and we’re confident that these changes will have a positive impact across the district.”

Despite challenges in the current labor market, the district remains committed to attracting and retaining high-quality staff.

Several new hires have joined the Centennial School District team to fill key roles, ensuring that all departments are equipped to meet the needs of students and the community.
