WARMINSTER, PA —The Centennial School District is expected to launch a new website this spring that is designed to improve communication and engagement. And a mobile app is coming as well.

The school district has signed a five-year contract with Apptegy for its website content management system and hosting services. The school board approved the agreement in the fall after a recommendation from the administration.

School officials said that Centennial's current website contract is set to expire soon.

One improvement will be the district’s soon-to-be-released mobile app, which will be specifically designed for use by iPhone and Android users that focuses on user experience.

"This platform will make communicating with our students, staff, families, and the community much more effective and efficient," school officials said.

Centennial’s decision to select Apptegy was, in part, driven by the company’s development of the first publishing platform for school districts. School officials said that will let the district’s team not only manage their communication channels from a single place but also provide CSD internal and external users with a more engaging experience.

“As we continue to work on improving our communication and constituent experiences, one of our main focuses with selecting Apptegy is improving the degree of ease for our community to engage with CSD, including meeting ADA Priority 1 accessibility," school officials said.

The school district said it will provide more information near the official launch date.
