Child Luring: Warminster Police Say No Danger After Interview

Warminster Township Police say investigators spoke with the owner of a Jeep that was believed to be involved in the Monday incident.

WARMINSTER, PA — Police in Warminster say they have investigated an apparent attempt at luring a child reported on Monday and that there is no danger to the public.

Police say the owner of a black Jeep that had reportedly stopped near two young children at the intersection of Cornell and Log College drives contacted them after the incident was made public.

"During the course of the investigation, the owner of the vehicle contacted investigators and provided a full account of what took place," Warminster Township Police said in a news release. "At this point in time we have no reason to believe the occupants of the vehicle were attempting to lure anyone.

Police were not saying Tuesday what, if anything, the men in the Jeep actually said to the two young children. The children had said that one of the two men in the Jeep looked at one of them and said, "Get in the car," according to police.
