'Code Blue' Declaration Continues In Lower Bucks Co.
Lower Bucks County has another shelter for people to visit as temperatures are expected to reach sub-freezing levels this weekend.
LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA — With temperatures expected to dip into sub-freezing temperatures this weekend, Bucks County officials are offering shelter to residents from now into late next week.
Bucks County extended its "Code Blue" declaration until 6 a.m. on Feb. 12 as frigid conditions continue to plague the Philadelphia region.
The county issues a “Code Blue” declaration when temperatures are forecast to drop below 20 degrees for two or more consecutive days. A “Code Blue” may be called amid higher temperatures, wind chill, precipitation, and other circumstances.

Several shelters are open throughout the "Code Blue" declaration.
Anyone who goes to a shelter is required to leave by 6:45 a.m. each day and may return in the evening. The Upper and Lower Bucks shelters will open at 8:30 p.m. The Central Bucks shelter opens at 7:30 p.m.

These are the shelter locations that are open during the "Code Blue" declaration:
- Lower Bucks Shelter (8:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m.) — Calvary Baptist Church – Gym 250 Green Lane Bristol, PA 19007
- Central Bucks Shelter (7:30 p.m. to 7 a.m.) — Doylestown Presbyterian Church (Andrew’s Hall) 125 Mechanic Street Doylestown, PA 18901
- Upper Bucks Shelter (8:15 p.m. to 7 a.m.) — Quakertown Masonic Lodge – First Floor 501 W Broad St Quakertown, PA 18951
