District Judge Finello Announces Retirement In Warminster
Magisterial District Judge Daniel J. Finello, Jr. has served Warminster and Ivyland since 2003.

WARMINSTER, PA —Magisterial District Judge Daniel J. Finello, Jr., a fixture on the bench since 2003, has announced his retirement.
“It has been my honor and privilege to serve the residents of my judicial district of Warminster Township and Ivyland Borough," Finello said. "Since mine is the court of first impression, it is paramount that I make a good impression, and I have always strived to meet those objectives."
Finello said Tuesday that his retirement is effective at the end of his term, which concludes in January 2024.
Finello said he hopes to continue in a senior judge capacity to serve Bucks County and others in the Commonwealth.

"I have also tried to immerse myself in the community because, after all, the district court is a neighborhood court," he said. "I have prided myself on performing my duties in a fair and impartial manner, serving all our residents in a non-partisan fashion.”
Finello said he made the announcement "so that any interested individual who is properly certified or otherwise duly qualified can submit their election petitions for this office in a timely fashion."

Township Supervisor Mark McKee, who announced at the recent township supervisors meeting that he would not seek re-election, expressed shock when reached by Patch Tuesday about Finello's announcement.
"Dan has always been a tremendous public servant," McKee said. "I'm really surprised."
McKee said he spent a lot of time with Finello at township rotary events and on the tri-centennial committee, in which both served.
Finello attended the last township supervisors meeting earlier this month to swear in new Warminster Township Police Officer Morgan Hein.
Finello said his retirement announcement allows him to continue as a judge while being able to spend family time with his wife of 50 years, Nora, and his two granddaughters.
