  1. What are the top issues currently facing your position and how do you plan to address them?

The top issues of focus are school safety, quality education, and fiscal responsibility. We have recently approved the newly created position of Supervisor of Safety and Security. The Supervisor of Safety and Security (credentialed as a School Police Officer) will oversee security across the district. Our district continues to improve safety and security systems to ensure a safe learning environment for all students.

Centennial is showing strong academic growth. High levels of collaboration and communication along with a supportive learning environment with parent and community involvement have resulted in strong student academic performance. We still have much work to do but are moving in the right direction.

2. Identify specific goals or ideas you have to enhance life in your position:

I would like to see our school board members out together at community events to share the district’s accomplishments, and future goals and to listen to community members' thoughts and concerns outside of school board meetings.

3. What in your experience or background prepares you for election to office?

Every opinion matters! Teamwork is essential to effectively govern. My decisions will always be based on what is best for our students, staff, and community. As a previous school board President and current Vice President, I pride myself on making sure I am available for all parents, students, and community members. When we work together as a team our students succeed.
