Electric-Vehicle Charging Stations Pursued In Warminster

If a grant is approved, the township would install two charging stations at Warminster Community Park.

WARMINSTER, PA — Supervisors in Warminster are working to bring two new electric-vehicle charging stations to the township.

At their meeting on Thursday, the supervisors voted to apply for a grant that would fund the charging stations at Warminster Comminity Park, at 300 Veterans Way.

Township Manager Gregg Schuster said that if Warminster receives the grant, the charging stations would operate at little to no cost to the township.

Users would register with the company managing the stations to pay for the electricity they use.

"There's no doubt that production of electric vehicles will exceed combustion engines in the future," Schuster said. "And Warminster will be working to prepare for the transition."
