Fire Crews Battle Early Morning Apartment Fire In Warminster: Fire Officials

One person evacuated from the building suffered smoke inhalation, according to the Warminster Fire Department.

Five fire companies came to battle an apartment fire that broke out early Thursday morning in Warminster, according to the Warminster Fire Department.

The department said on its Facebook page that a fire broke out at about 1:39 a.m. at the Jefferson on the Creek apartment complex.

Southampton Fire Company No. 1 was returning from an unrelated call and arrived at the complex to find heavy fire coming from the second floor and extending to the two-story complex's shared attic space, the fire deportment said.

Southampton crews then established a water supply and started to fight the fire while Warminster Fire Department and Hartsville Fire Company crews worked to ventilate the complex.

The fire department said the fire was under control quickly, but crews form Southampton, Hartsville, Willow Grove Volunteer Fire Company, Northampton Township Volunteer Fire Company and Feasterville Fire Company remained on scene for several hours after the fire was extinguished.

"We would like to thank the officers of Warminster Township Police Department who assisted with evacuations early in the incident, one of whom suffered smoke inhalation in the process," the fire department said. "Thank you to Horsham Fire Company and Enterprise Fire Company of Hatboro for covering Warminster while crews were committed, as well as Warminster Township Public Works, Warminster Volunteer Ambulance Corps and Tri-Hampton Rescue Squad for supporting our operations into the early morning."
