WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — The Five Ponds Golf Club has been recognized as one of the top golf courses in the Philadelphia region.

The course was recently highlighted during the 2026 PGA Championship held at Aronamink as one of the Top Five Courses to play in the Philadelphia region.

“Located roughly 25 miles from Philadelphia, Five Ponds Golf Club offers a private club type of experience for the entire general public … its employees are committed to creating personalized experiences for every guest," said Chris Lewis with PGA of America.

The company has done "a fabulous job" in improving the financial bottom line and community programs through the Spirit Golf Academy and maintaining optimal course conditions, said Ken Hayes, chairman of the Warminster Township Board of Supervisors.

“This acquisition was considered by the board and found to be in the best interest of the township when it comes to additional services and opportunities for even stronger management,” Hayes said.

SFC is a national company founded in 2003 and operates as a turnkey provider for the planning, development, and management of sports, recreation and events facilities. The company serves clients at the local, state and national level and manages more than 140 facilities serving more than 3,500 communities.

Five Ponds officially opened and became a golf course in 1987.

It was designed by architect Xenophon Hassenplug.

The 18-hole public course was built by the township over the once home of Miller’s Farm to “preserve the land from private development.”
