Flood Watch Extended In Bucks County Monday

The National Weather Service said that potential flooding still exists in the region due to extensive rainfall Sunday.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —A flood watch for Bucks County and the region has been extended until 4 p.m. Monday.

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly said Monday morning that the alert is extended due to potential flooding caused by excessive rainfall Sunday and overnight.

"Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas," the National Weather Service stated in its alert.

The weather service said that some areas of the region received between 1.5 and 3 inches of rain.

There is a chance of rain and snow this morning before it gets cloudy and then gradual clearing with a high near 44 degrees.
