Former Hartsville Fire Company Chief Gets New Post

WARMINSTER, PA —Former Hartsville Fire Company Chief Chris McDonald, who resigned in January, now has a new post.

The fire company congratulated McDonald on his promotion to Battalion Chief of the Berwyn Fire Company.

"This promotion is well deserved. Well done and good luck, Chris," the fire company said in a Facebook post.

"Our new Battalion Chiefs will play crucial roles in coordinating daily fire and EMS operations," said Justin Brundage, Berwyn Fire Company's chief. "Their expertise and leadership, honed over a century of combined service, will further enhance our emergency response capabilities and community safety. We're incredibly proud of their extraordinary commitment to protecting the Tredyffrin and Easttown communities."

The Hartsville Fire Company said at the time of his departure that McDonald would continue to serve Hartsville and the surrounding communities and would still be seen on a fire truck from time to time.

"Chris worked his way through the ranks of the company holding almost every position," the fire company said in a Facebook post. "He has been a great mentor, friend, and leader for our company and its members. Please help us congratulate Chris as he steps back to enjoy some much-needed family time."
