Grand View Health Receives $1M Grant For Expansion
Grand View Health has served Bucks and Montgomery counties for more than 100 years. U.S. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick secured a grant.

PHILADELPHIA REGION —The Pavilion at Grand View Health will be expanding thanks to a $1 million grant secured by U.S. Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick.
The funding from the Community Project Funding (CPF) grant played "an instrumental role in the remarkable expansion" of the Pavilion at Grand View Health, which includes the construction of four specialized patient-at-risk rooms within the new emergency department, dedicated to delivering essential health and behavioral health services.
This advanced infrastructure significantly enhances safety for both patients and staff at GVH, Fitzpatrick said.

“The need to expand and improve resources for behavioral health patients continues to grow. The construction of the Pavilion at Grand View Health provided a unique opportunity to design and build a patient-at-risk unit, based on best practices to address these needs. The financial support secured through the Community Project Funding program and Congressman Fitzpatrick’s efforts on our behalf, provided essential financial resources to develop a secure and safe patient-at-risk space within the hospital, that meets the specific needs of patients and staff and our supports mental health in our community,” said Doug Hughes, president and chief executive of Grand View Health.
The CPF was introduced by Fitzpatrick into the FY23 Consolidated Appropriations Act as a part of the Community Project Funding program—an initiative allows Members of Congress to target federal funds towards projects and programs within their congressional districts that will address the most significant needs facing the communities they represent.
Through the Community Project Funding Request process for the 118th Congress, which was included in the Fiscal Year 2024 budget, Fitzpatrick successfully secured more than $27.5 million in funding for 14 transformative community projects that will directly benefit First District constituents.
Additionally, Fitzpatrick secured over $19 million in CPF Funding for 13 projects FY23 and over $6.6 million in CPF funding for 10 projects in FY22.
"As Co-Chair of the Bipartisan Mental Health & Substance Use Disorder Task Force, one of my foremost priorities in Congress is to address the mental health and substance use crisis head-on. Ensuring our community has access to top-tier mental and behavioral health resources is essential, which is why I fought vigorously to secure this critical funding for Grand View Hospital. This funding represents a significant milestone in our mission and a resounding victory for the health and well-being of our entire community,” Fitzpatrick said.
