'Large Scale' Drug Network Busted In Bucks County: AG

The Pennsylvania Attorney General has announced charges against two dealers they say are behind the overdose death of a Warminster man.

Two suspected heroin dealers who were part of a “large scale” drug trafficking network with ties in Bucks County have been arrested, the Pennsylvania Attorney General said.

Authorities say Carlos J. Abdel-Rahman and Alexander Abad Tapia were involved with a New York City-based drug trafficking organization that sold a fatal dose of heroin to a Warminster man in 2013.

The two men are being held in Bucks County jail on drug charges handed down by the Pennsylvania Attorney General. Bail has been set at $1 million for both.

According to authorities, Abdel-Rahman sold drugs as part of a trafficking enterprise headed by Tapia.

Abdel-Rahman is suspected of selling a fatal dose of “Hell Raiser” heroin to 22-year-old Christopher Sheehan of Warminster, according to the Attorney General’s office. The Warminster man died on March 12, 2013 from an overdose.

Abdel-Rahman and Tapia are facing numerous felony charges, including drug delivery resulting in death.

According to information from authorities, investigators interviewed a friend of Sheehan’s who purchased the same heroin from Abdel-Rahman. The friends purchased the heroin together the day of Sheehan’s death. The friend told investigators the heroin was “particularly strong.” The next day he learned Sheehan had died from an overdose.

Investigators found that Tapia and Abdel-Rahman were part of a “large scale” operation with distribution hubs throughout the area, including Bucks and Montgomery counties, as well as Philadelphia.
