Man Arrested Moments After Robbing Warminster Bank: Police
A man who robbed a Warminster bank Friday was arrested soon after by officers who were nearby for an unrelated call, authorities said.

WARMINSTER, PA — A man who robbed a Warminster bank on Friday was arrested soon after by officers who were at a nearby businesses for an unrelated call, police said.
Arif Burroughs, 37, of Philadelphia has been charged with armed robbery and related charges in connection with the incident, which happened around 9:30 a.m. at the Penn Community Bank branch on Louis Drive.
Bank employees told police a man wearing a white chemical suit, grey hard hat, and sunglasses entered the bank and demanded money. The suspect told the bank employees that he had a gun, police said. He then fled the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No one was injured, and no customers were in the bank.
According to Warminster Township Police, officers happened to be at a business next to the bank when the robbery was dispatched. The officers saw the suspect enter another business in an attempt to avoid them. He had discarded the chemical suit and hard hat, police said.

The officers located the suspect as he exited the business and took him into custody without incident.
The suspect had a loaded 45 caliber semi-automatic handgun in his possession. The money and chemical suit were recovered by the police.
Burroughs was arraigned and ordered held in the Bucks County Correctional Facility on $500,000, 10 percent bail.
