Man Flashed Firearm At Bensalem Co-Workers: PD

BENSALEM TOWNSHIP, PA — A 49-year-old Philadelphia man faces charges after he flashed a fully-loaded firearm before his co-workers at a business on Monday afternoon, police said.

Bensalem Police responded at 1:32 p.m. on Monday to 1150 Northbrook Drive for a report of an armed person.

Police were told that Wilson Roberts, 49, of Philadelphia, had entered an office building and displayed a firearm toward co-workers.

Police located Roberts inside a vehicle in the parking lot.

As officers tried to detain him, Roberts fled on foot before being brought him to the ground, where he continued to resist and assaulted police before ultimately being taken into custody, police said.

. A fully loaded Smith & Wesson .38-caliber revolver was recovered from Roberts.

Roberts was charged with multiple counts of Aggravated Assault, Terroristic Threats, Possessing an Instrument of Crime, Resisting Arrest, and other related charges.

Roberts was arraigned by Magisterial District Justice Kevin Wagner, Sr., who denied bail. Roberts was subsequently remanded to the Bucks County Correctional Facility.
