Man Found With Rifle At Store, Tesla Stolen From Auto Shop: Warminster Crimes

WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warminster Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for August.

These are the criminal incidents:

• Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a report of Retail Theft, and Loss Prevention had four people detained. The Loss Prevention Officer stated that the four men had price-swapped items and didn't ring all the items up at self-checkout. The men tried to conceal items in a storage tote and only scanned the tote. The total amount stolen was $69.96. Two 18-year-old men and a 22-year-old man were cited for Retail Theft and released. A 17-year-old had to call a parent to pick him up as he was a juvenile.
• Officers were dispatched to Walmart for a Retail Theft in progress. A 66-year-old woman had concealed items in her purse and was wearing stolen merchandise. The female was stopped in the vestibule of Walmart. Loss Prevention determined that the total amount of stolen items was $76.89. The woman was cited for Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property.

• Officers were dispatched to 7-11 on Street Road for a report of a man holding a rifle in a threatening manner. When officers arrived, the man was pointing the rifle at the Dunkin Donuts dumpster. An officer advised the man to drop the gun. The male dropped the gun and put his hands in the air. The man was subsequently detained. The man advised that he had just bought the BB gun and wanted to try it out. The 18-year-old man will be cited for Disorderly Conduct.

• Officers were dispatched to Direct Auto Sales on County Line Road for a Burglary and Stolen Vehicle that had taken place overnight. Someone had broken into the building, and a blue Tesla was stolen. The vehicle was recovered in Bensalem, and Bensalem Police had a 16-year-old male juvenile in custody. A Warminster detective went to the Bensalem Police Department to pick up the Juvenile. He was taken into custody and transported back to Warminster's Police Headquarters. The 16-year-old will be charged with Burglary, Theft by Unlawful Taking, Receiving Stolen Property, and Criminal Mischief. He was transported to Bucks County Youth Center.

• Officers were dispatched to Ann's Choice for a report of child abuse. When officers arrived, they were directed to Parking Lot D for a report of juveniles in a vehicle with the doors locked and blackout curtains on the car windows. Ann's Choice Security was also on scene. Security advised that they could hear children screaming. The owner of the vehicle arrived and advised that he works for Nursing Care Services. He stated that he was only gone for 35 minutes. Central Bucks Emergency Services arrived to evaluate the children. The children were released to the man's girlfriend. The 36-year-old man was charged with Recklessly Endangering Another Person and Endangering the Welfare of Children. The male was taken into custody and processed. He was arraigned before Judge O'Neill, and bail was set at 10% of $100,000 unsecured.

• Officers were dispatched to Gibson Avenue and Pine Road for a report of a domestic in progress. When officers arrived, they met a male who had injuries and was throwing up. The male advised that his injuries were from his girlfriend of 10 months assaulting him. Both parties were evaluated by Bucks County EMS and refused to be transported to the hospital. The 19-year-old female was taken into custody and transported back to Headquarters for processing. The female was charged with Simple Assault and Harassment.
