Man Hid Microphone In Ex's Home After Breakup: Warminster Police

A man who police say set up a microphone to spy on a woman he had met through a dating website has been arrested in Warminster.

A 23-year-old man who authorities say set up a microphone to spy on a woman he had met through a dating website has been arrested and charged by Warminster Township Police.

Police say Robert Lee Minch of Chalfont set up a wi-fi enabled microphone at the home of a Warminster woman who dumped him after a brief relationship last month. After the pair split, the woman reported to authorities she discovered the hidden microphone. Police located the device, which was operated by cell phone.

Police say Minch was eavesdropping on her private conversations without her knowledge.

He was arrested April 12 and charged with stalking, interception, criminal use of a communication facility and related charges. He was arraigned and released on $25,000 unsecured bail.

He was ordered to have no contact with the victim.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 17, court records show.
