Man Strangled Woman, Cut Up Her Stuffed Animals With Knife: Warminster Crimes

WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — The Warminster Township Police Department has released its blotter of criminal incidents for July.

These are the criminal incidents:

• Officers were dispatched to the intersection of County Line and Davisville roads for a report of a one-vehicle accident. The 35-year-old man agreed to submit to Field Sobriety Tests, which he failed, and confirmed that he was incapable of operating a motor vehicle safely. The man was taken into custody and transported back to headquarters. He refused chemical testing; was processed and released to a friend.
• Officers responded to Walmart for a report of a Theft by Employee. Loss Prevention had video of an employee who used self-checkout and scanned some items and put others in a bag without scanning. The thefts had occurred numerous times when the man was scheduled to work. The items totaled $230.71. The 18-year-old man was cited for Retail Theft and Receiving Stolen Property.
• Officers were dispatched to Caliber Collision on Street Road for a man being disorderly and possibly intoxicated. The man arrived on scene and wanted to speak to the manager and was being disruptive in the store. When officers spoke to the 54-year-old man, he stated he had driven there to see why his vehicle had not been serviced. The officer asked the male to submit to Field Sobriety tests, which he did and failed. It was determined that the man was unable to operate a vehicle safely, and he was placed under arrest and transported to headquarters. The man was asked to submit to a blood draw. Charges were pending while waiting for lab results.
• Officers responded to Buttercup Lane for a report of threats. When officers arrived, they spoke to a woman who advised that the man had called and made threats to her and her family. The woman was advised how to obtain a Protection from Abuse Order. A warrant was issued for the 19-year-old man, and he was advised to turn himself in. The man came to headquarters to turn himself in. He was arraigned before Judge Marriot, and bail was set at $100,000 unsecured. The male was charged with Terroristic Threats, Harassment, and Harassment by Communication.
• Officers were dispatched to Jacksonville Road and Potter Street for a report of an elderly man who had fallen. The man had urinated on himself, and there were several open beer cans around him. The officers contacted Emergency Medical Services to transport the man for evaluation. The 64-year-old man will be cited for Public Drunkenness and Disorderly Conduct via the mail.
• An Officer on routine patrol observed fireworks being set off on Park Avenue. Police had just responded to two previous calls for reports of fireworks in the area. When Officers arrived at the i3 Pharmaceuticals parking lot, three individuals were observed pouring water on fireworks. The 59-year-old man advised that he did not have a permit to set off the fireworks. The man will be cited for Use of Consumer Fireworks via the mail.
• Officers responded to Rosewood Court West Apartments for a report of a physical domestic in progress. The woman stated she was involved in a domestic with her boyfriend. They were out to dinner, and an argument ensued; she refused to get in the car with him. She walked home, and he was in the home when she got there and had gained entry through an unlocked window. He was cutting up stuffed animals with a knife and throwing items out the window. He pinned her to the bed and strangled her with his bare hands. A warrant was issued for his arrest. When he appeared at District Court for a traffic hearing, the warrant was served. He was arraigned by Judge O'Neill, and bail was set at $200,000. The 25-year-old man had to have a medical evaluation before being transported to Bucks County Prison. He was charged with Burglary, Strangulation, Simple Assault, Criminal Trespass, and Harassment.
• On routine patrol, an officer noticed fireworks being set off in the area of Walsh's Tavern and Gardinia Hookah Bar. When the officer got closer, he observed a man shooting off bottle rockets in the area of the houses. The 25-year-old man will be cited by mail for the Use of Consumer Fireworks.
