The library is holding a historical reenactment of Thoreau as portrayed by David Barto.

Attendees can enjoy a Saturday afternoon with a hot cup of tea, a biscuit, and a visit with Thoreau, a literary figure best known for his book "Walden," which reflected upon simple living in a natural setting around Walden Pond in Massachusetts.

Barto has performed as Thoreau hundreds of times, including every summer for 12 years at Thoreau's famous home at Walden Pond, said Peter Lehu, the Warminster library's director.

Thoreau will speak about his upbringing, love of nature, experiences at Walden Pond, and his views on civil disobedience, among other aspects of his life, Lehu said.
