Munroe Projected 144th Victory 'Win-Win' For Warminster: Supervisor
Warminster Township Supervisors Chairman Kenneth Hayes said Brian Munroe's supervisor service will benefit the 144th Legislative District.

WARMINSTER, PA —When Brian Munroe appeared before the Warminster Township Supervisors to make a presentation during a meeting in September, it seemed like an old friend was dropping by for a visit.
After all, the current Bucks County Clerk of Courts had served as a township supervisor and still lives in Warminster. And while unofficial election results are pending, it appears Munroe may be serving residents as the state representative in the 144th Legislative District.
As of Thursday morning, the Democrat leads Republican incumbent Todd Polinchock, according to unofficial results from the Bucks County Board of Elections.

In updated tallies Wednesday, the elections board said that Munroe received 15,936 votes —or 50.64 percent —while Polinchock received 15,502 votes —or 49.26 percent, according to unofficial vote totals. Final election results must be certified by Nov. 28.
The 144th Legislative District consists of Warminster, Warrington, New Britain Township and Ivyland.

"He is an old friend," Warminster Supervisors Chairman Kenneth Hayes told Patch earlier this week. "I think it's great. We will have representation in Harrisburg. He lives here and understands the issues. It's a win-win for Warminster."
Munroe commented about being the projected winner in a Facebook post to supporters last week.
"Thank you for trusting me with your votes," he said. "It is an awesome honor and I am humbled, but excited to get to work. We knew from the beginning that this was going to be a close race, but believed that we would win it with hard work and a focus on connecting with people like you across our community."
Polinchock did not respond to a request from Patch this week seeking comment on whether he was conceding the race.
