New Sign Commemorates Hartsville Fire Co. 100th Anniversary
The fire company, one of two in Warminster, has several upcoming events to mark its 100 years of service.

WARMINSTER, PA —With 2023 being its 100th year, the Hartsville Fire Company now has a new sign to commemorate the anniversary.
Last week, the fire company showcased a new sign outside its York Road building noting 100 years of service from 1923 to 2023.
The fire company —one of two in the township —kicked off festivities with a cake to start the year.

It will celebrate its anniversary on June 3 at Warminster Community Park by having a "Muster," which is a formal gathering where modern and antique fire apparatus will be on display from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The next celebration with be a family fun day BBQ for members on Saturday, May 20, from noon to 4 p.m. Food, games, music, and more are planned.

Meanwhile, the fire company is seeking volunteers.
"For over 100 years, Hartsville Fire Company has been answering emergency calls. Now more than ever, we need volunteers to fill our ranks. If you or someone you know is looking for a new challenge, a way to give back to the community, or a gateway into a career in emergency services or a related industry, contact us," the fire company said in a Facebook post.
Chris McDonald, the fire chief for the Hartsville Fire Company, told supervisors at its meeting last week that the fire company started after a big barn fire on Labor Day.
