Nick Foles Remembered For His Time To Shine: Philly Sports Chatter
The Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl hero resurfaces to start final games for the Indianapolis Colts. Five years ago, Foles performed magic.

WARMINSTER, PA —The Magic Man is back once again to perform another magic act.
While the Indianapolis Colts basically have no shot at making the NFL playoffs, especially after their monumental collapse against the Minnesota Vikings Saturday in the biggest comeback in NFL history, there's still a chance.
So Nick Foles is coming off the bench out of obscurity to try to rescue the Colts and find a way with a 1 percent chance of making the playoffs to salvage the team's season.

We know far too well of Foles' magic act in Philadelphia. The man is and forever will be Saint Nick, who came off the bench in December to take the Philadelphia Eagles from playoff contender to Super Bowl champion.
And since that was the first championship title in team history, Foles will forever be a name that will live as a folk figure. He's our Super Bowl hero, not just for what he did during the playoff drive and by beating Tom Brady and the New England Patriots, but for the "Philly Special," that magic play by the magic man.

It was announced Wednesday that Foles would replace Matt Ryan for the Colts' last three games of the season. And why not? The man hasn't played all season, but he is one of the best insurance policies in the game.
While he faltered in Jacksonville after leaving the Eagles, Foles found a way as a Chicago Bear to beat Brady again and came off the bench to pull off some heroics in a late victory against the Seattle Seahawks.
And, if you remember, Saint Nick once again brought holiday cheer for Philly fans when he almost pulled off yet another magic act by filling in for the oft-injured Carson Wentz.
That was the year of the "Double Doink" playoff win. And, if it wasn't for that killer drop by Alshon Jeffrey, Foles may have taken the Birds back to the Super Bowl.
So cherish this Nick Foles' sighting. And while we watch from afar, we will all be grateful that Saint Nick is getting his shot once again. It might not amount to much.
But it will rekindle the spark in the brain of that magic time for our football team.
The time when a backup quarterback, who was once our starter, captured the city's heart and finally crowned us as champions.
Nick Foles will always have a place in our hearts. Go get em' Saint Nick.
