Park Upgrades Progressing in Warminster
Township Manager Tom Scott updates work at Warminster Community Park and two other parks.

WARMINSTER, PA —Warminster Community Park might soon be made in the shade.
Township Manager Tom Scott updated the Board of Supervisors about the Safety Town cover at the park.
Scott said there have been discussions with the infrastructure committee and that money from the American Recovery Act would be used. He said donations from ShopRite are also funding the project.

"We want shade over a portion where the kids are playing there," Scott said.
He told supervisors that the public works department could perform the installation.

Scott said he expects the item might be on the agenda for the Oct. 6 supervisors' meeting.
Meanwhile, at Munro and Werner parks, Scott said the township plans to not just fix electrical problems but also improve lighting at both parks.
Scott said he hopes to have a pricing quote at the supervisors' meeting in either October or November.
