Penn State Expert to Present Workshop on Disruptive Behavior Disorders in Youth
Disruptive behaviors disorders expert to present workshop in Warrington, PA.

Foundations Community Partnership, a philanthropic foundation benefiting youth in Bucks County, invites educators, counselors, parents, and mental health professionals to attend the workshop “Empirically Supported Assessment and Treatment of Disruptive Behavior Disorders in Youth” on Weds., April 5, 2017, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Wellness Center in Warrington.
Expert Daniel A. Waschbusch, Ph.D., Associate Vice Chair for Research and Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Penn State Milton S. Hershey Medical Center will present essential information on disruptive behaviors in youth, including the causes, correlates, and outcomes of conduct problems. The presentation will also cover empirically supported treatments for conduct problems and present current research trends and future directions for furthering knowledge in this area.
Prior to joining Penn State, Dr. Waschbusch was a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Florida International University, where he conducted a three-year study on callous-unemotional children – those who exhibit a lack of remorse or empathy. Dr. Waschbusch’s current research focuses on gaining a better understanding of the nature and treatment of children with attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder, oppositional defiant disorder, and conduct disorder, collectively known as the disruptive behavior disorders. Dr. Waschbusch has presented hundreds of professional presentations, lectures, and trainings.

Three (3) continuing education credits will be offered for PA Social Workers & Licensed Professional Counselors, Psychologists, NBCC Counselors, and Act 48.
The workshop will held at the Doylestown Health & Wellness Center Auditorium, 847 Easton Rd./Rt. 611, Warrington, PA 18976. Cost is $65 and includes breakfast.
