Philly Prison Escapee Has Criminal History In Lower Bucks Co.

LOWER BUCKS COUNTY, PA —The inmate who escaped a Philadelphia prison late last week has a criminal history in Lower Bucks County.

While authorities hunt for Gino Hagenkotter who escaped while working in the orchard behind the Philadelphia Industrial Correctional Facility at 8201 State Road last Thursday, court records indicate that Hagenkotter had a criminal record involving drug-related offenses and retail thefts.

Court documents show that Hagenkotter has at least eight criminal complaints filed against him for six crimes in 2016 and two in 2017.

They involved incidents in Bensalem Township, Lower Southampton Township, Northampton Township, and Tullytown Borough, court records indicate.

Federal authorities said he was last seen at about 11:55 a.m. Thursday, about 10 minutes after he escaped custody. He was seen on video heading north on the 8400 block of Hegerman Street toward Blakiston Street.

Hagenkotter is 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 160 pounds.

He has gray and black hair, brown eyes, and a tattoo of a dagger on his right forearm. His last known address was in the 7700 block of Cottage Street in Philadelphia.

The U.S. Marshals Service is offering up to ,$1,500 and Pennsylvania Crime Stoppers has offered an additional $500. The Crime Stoppers reward will be paid immediately upon arrest.
