Phone Scam Warning Issued In Warminster

Warminster Township Police said residents should not pay money in scam where callers say jury duty was missed.

WARMINSTER, PA —The Warminster Township Police Department has issued a warning about a phone scam.

Warminster Police said they have received information that scammers are calling people regarding missed jury duty.

Warminster Police or township officials do not make any calls regarding jury duty and certainly do not solicit any form of payment.

Anyone who receives this type of call should not pay any money or release personal information despite what the caller or caller ID states.

Police said they should hang up and call 215-672-1000 and have a Warminster Police officer come out and take a report.

As a reminder, police urge residents:

  • Don’t give out — or confirm — your personal or financial information to someone who calls.
  • Don’t wire money or send money using a reloadable card.
  • Never pay someone who calls out of the blue, even if the name or number on the caller ID looks legit.
