He thanked Munroe and State Sen. Frank Farry for securing the funding to retrofit two stormwater basins to basically be able to go from a 25-year storm to handle a 100-year storm.

"This will help the situation tremendously," Hayes said.

Supervisors Chairwoman Kathy Frescatore thanked Hayes for his dedication in working with area politicians to seek such funding over the past four years.

"If you don't ask, you don't get anything," she said.
