BUCKS COUNTY, PA —Recent voter statistics are showing that Bucks County Republicans are widening their lead over Democrats, going from a 10,000 voter minority to a 10,000 majority.

The November general election had President Donald Trump returning to the White House after defeating Democrat Vice President Kamala Harris and winning Bucks County for the first time as a Republican since the Bush-Dukakis race in 1988.

Trump won Bucks County, getting 196,654 votes to 195,370 votes for Harris, according to results from the Bucks County Board of Elections.

That election also marked the second-highest turnout in Bucks County election history.

Now, those numbers may have spilled over to voter registrations.

According to the Bucks County Board of Elections, Republicans now have 10,000 more registered voters than Democrats.

Voter registration statistics show as of March 24 that Republicans have 202,518 registered voters while Democrats have 192,468 registered voters. Other parties have 84,386 registered voters.

In a registered voter count of 482,362 county residents as of Aug. 30, Republicans had 199,893 registered voters while Democrats had 198,957 voters. Other parties had 83,512 registered voters.

Bucks County has 54 municipalities and 304 voting districts.

Voter registration statistics are run by the Pennsylvania Department of State every Monday, which can be located on the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania's Voting and Election Statistics page.

"Bucks County has flipped from a 10,000 voter minority to a 10,126 voter majority," the Upper Southampton Republican Club said. "This is great news for Bucks, but none of this matters if we don't show up to vote."

The primary election will be held on May 20.
