Argument Erupts At Warminster Meeting, Police Chief Called 'Liar'
A resident shouted at supervisors and called the police chief "a liar" about no parking on his Warminster street last week.

WARMINSTER, PA —The meeting was coming to a close.
It was during the second public comments portion of the Warminster Township Supervisors meeting last Thursday night and the board had just received some appreciation from a longtime resident for their efforts.
One final public comment was coming. It was more like an eruption.

Coming to the podium before the board, resident Robert Stein began complaining about no parking signs in the 500 block of Olive Street. Watch the meeting here
After being informed that the signs were taken down due to a line-of-sight issue long ago, Stein erupted, shouting at the supervisors and calling Police Chief James Donnelly "a liar."

"You called the township and said you were going to kill someone. That's making a terroristic threat," Supervisors Vice Chairman Kenneth Hayes said.
"Yes I did," Stein confirmed.
Donnelly said the signs were removed from one side of Olive Street from 1996 to 2022 because the street was under construction and had a history of line-of-sight issues.
Stein then started getting into it with the police chief.
"You're calling the police chief a liar?" Hayes said. "Your three minutes are up."
Solicitor Scott Holbert jumped in, saying the ordinance hadn't been updated since 2019.
Supervisor Janice Charlton chimed in, asking what made the north side of Olive Street worthy of no parking.
Hayes said that people can't get in or out of their driveways.
"I just want to get the signs changed," Stein said.
"There's nothing that can be done," Supervisors Chairwoman Kathy Frescatore said. "We can't break the ordinance. We'd be breaking the law."
Stein said he even brought a petition from a handful of residents about restoring the parking. He was asked to give that petition to the solicitor.
"It's like talking to a door handle," Stein said before storming out of the meeting.
