He outlined seven streets: Delmont Avenue, Norristown Road, Henry Avenue, Newtown Road, Centennial Road, Log College Drive, and Ivyland Road.
Then Donnelly broke down the number of vehicles using those roads during a sample of several days and the average speeds on those roads. Most of the roads have 25 mph speed limits.
The street study was sparked by complaints from residents about motorists driving too fast through township neighborhoods with several asking township officials and law enforcement to find a way to institute preventative measures before there's a severe accident.
These streets are often used by drivers as shortcuts to get to Street Road, Bristol Road, or County Line Road, and access to nearby Warrington, Northampton Township, Hatboro, Horsham Township, or Upper and Lower Southampton townships.
Here is the road volume on those seven streets:
- Delmont Avenue —July 27-30. 2,579 vehicles (1,373 southbound/1,206 northbound) Average speed limit: 36 mph.
