Rotary Club of Doylestown Awards over $24,000 in Grants to Bucks County Organizations

Organizations were chosen for their dedication to the community and the Rotary motto of "Service above Self"

The Rotary Club of Doylestown awarded $24,280 in community grants at the 2016 Four Way Test Awards Breakfast held at Doylestown Country Club on April 27, 2016.

The organizations that received 2016 community grants are: Aid for Friends; Ann Silverman Health Clinic; Bucks County Opportunity Council; Bucks County Quality Child Care Coalition; Camp Discovery; Child Home & Community; Credit Counseling; Doylestown Fire Department; Doylestown Youth Fishing Program; Network of Victim Assistance; Shelter Box USA.

“These organizations were chosen for their dedication to the communities they serve and the Rotary motto of “Service above Self,” said Doylestown Rotary Club president Bruce Rutherford. “We are very pleased to award grants to these organizations that strive to make Bucks County and the world around them a better place for others.”

About The Rotary Club of Doylestown:

The Rotary Club of Doylestown is a volunteer service organization comprised of 74 neighbors, friends and community leaders who come together to create positive, lasting change in our community and around the world. Founded in 1924, Doylestown Rotary meets on Tuesday 7:30-8:30 am at Coach’s Steak & Hoagie House and Wednesday 5:30-7:30 pm at the Doylestown Country Club. Members of the community are invited to attend either meeting learn more about Rotary. Among its many community programs, the club sponsors scholarships for high school students, coordinates international exchange programs, provides volunteers for community events, and funds worthy local projects.
