Senator Bob Casey Visits NOVA’s Jamison Office
The Senator Discusses the Organization's Work in Protecting Children
Senator Bob Casey (D-PA) recently visited the offices of Network of Victim Assistance (NOVA) in Jamison, Pa., to learn about the organization’s programs and services, in particular those relating to child safety and well-being. Staff members showcased their work for Senator Bob Casey in a roundtable discussion. Also present at this meeting was NOVA Board President, Dot Gaboda and board member Bob Hills, co-chair of NOVA’s Public Affairs Committee.
Senator Bob Casey has been an advocate for vulnerable members of Pennsylvania communities including children, older adults and persons with disabilities and has worked during his time in the Senate to introduce legislation to protect them. “The Senator is a true champion for the safety and well-being of children,” said Penny Ettinger, NOVA’s Executive Director. “It was an honor to have him attend a roundtable with NOVA professionals, who shared with him an overview of the services that NOVA provides to victims, as well as the prevention work that NOVA offers in schools and throughout the Bucks County community.”
“Far too many women, children and seniors are victims of crime in our society,” said Senator Bob Casey. “We must all work together to protect and support individuals who are vulnerable to abuse. That’s why I’m thankful for organizations, like NOVA, which provide vital prevention services to children and adults who are at-risk of abuse or have experienced trauma. I will continue to work with local, state and federal leaders to ensure that everyone can live safely in our communities.
