SEPTA Changing Regional Rail Schedules Sunday

The changes will impact rail service in Bucks and Montgomery counties, including the Warminster, West Trenton and Lansdale/Doylestown lines.

WARMINSTER, PA —SEPTA is changing some Regional Rail schedules in Bucks and Montgomery counties starting Sunday.

SEPTA said the updates will impact the West Trenton, Lansdale/Doylestown, Warminster, Glenside, and Wilmington/Newark lines with the new timetables going into effect on Sunday, Jan. 8.

Customers should check the new timetables before traveling, as adjustments are being made to peak inbound services in the morning and peak outbound services in the evening.

The changes will maintain Regional Rail service at 75 percent of pre-COVID levels. Regional Rail ridership has returned gradually and is currently at about half of pre-pandemic levels.

Warminster

  • Riders should check the schedule for new departure and arrival times.

West Trenton

  • Riders should check the schedule for new departure and arrival times.
  • Trains #6365 and #6307, which regularly depart West Trenton at 6:43 AM and 7:04 PM respectively, will be replaced by a new #6307 train which will depart West Trenton at 6:54. This train will express from Bethayres to Temple University.

Lansdale/Doylestown

  • Several trains will no longer operate to/from the Wilmington/Newark Line due to Amtrak work and will terminate/originate at 30th Street Station.
  • These trains will also no longer operate to/from Penn Medicine Station.
  • Riders should check the schedule for new departure and arrival times.

Glenside

  • Riders should check the schedule for new departure and arrival times.

Wilmington/Newark

Significant schedule changes are being made to accommodate Amtrak State of Good
Repair work to improve the track, roadbed, and bridges between Marcus Hook and Darby
Stations.

These repairs will be performed from January through May 2023.

  • SEPTA trains will operate on the same track as Amtrak trains, which may cause delays.
  • Riders should add extra time to their trip and check the schedule for new departure and arrival times on all trains.

Riders who may need a refresher on SEPTA Key, including how to use Travel Wallet, tap on and off for fare validation on Regional Rail, and purchase or reload a Key Card, should visit the SEPTA Key eCommerce site at septakey.org.
