PHILADELPHIA, PA —SEPTA will begin regional rail improvements that will impact weekend service on five of its lines starting this weekend.

The work will impact the Fox Chase, Glenside, Lansdale/Doylestown, Warminster, and West Trenton lines. It starts on Saturday.

As part of its Regional Rail Improvement Program, SEPTA will perform heavy repairs between Fern Rock Transportation Center and Wayne Junction Station, as well as the Fox Chase Line that will impact riders, on weekends only.

The project includes major switch replacement, track repairs, signal and station work, and brush clearing.

On the following dates, no trains will operate between Fern Rock Transportation Center and Wayne Junction Station or on the Fox Chase Line: July 27 and 28, Aug. 3, 4, 10, 11, 17, and 18.

Regional Rail Line Service

  • The Warminster Line has stops in Warminster, Hatboro, Willow Grove, Abington, Roslyn, Glenside, Jenkintown, and Elkins Park, among others before heading into Philadelphia.
  • The West Trenton Line runs from West Trenton to Philadelphia with stops in Yardley, Middletown Township, Langhorne, Penndel, Bensalem Township, Huntingdon Valley, Abington, Rydal, Noble, Jenkintown, and Elkins Park, among others.
  • The Lansdale / Doylestown Line runs from Doylestown to Philadelphia with stops in Doylestown, New Britain, Chalfont, Lansdale, North Wales, Ambler, Fort Washington, Orland, North Hills, Glenside, Jenkintown-Wyncote, and Elkins Park, among others.
