Tax Collector Bobbie Loftus recently moved her office to Warminster Community Park. She just sent out tax bills with a new address.

WARMINSTER, PA —You've probably gotten your tax bill by now from Township Tax Collector Barbara Loftus.

It's the usual township tax bill residents receive every year —except with one exception.

There's a red arrow pointing to the top left of the envelope where the address is in red.

The reason: the tax office location has changed.

The new tax office is located at 1100 Veterans Way in the parks and recreation building in Warminster Community Park. The phone number is 215-443-8282.

"Bobbie" Loftus handed Patch the tax bill envelope with the address at the township supervisors' meeting earlier this month after Patch missed a 1 on the address. (We certainly apologize for that!)

She recently sent out all of the township's tax bills and received 500 payments in four days.

"I have put out signs," she said. "There's some confusion as to where I am."

But that didn't turn out so well for Loftus.

She said a sign stating where the tax office was located was recently stolen.

"Those signs cost me $600," Loftus said.

Loftus is pleading for someone to return it. Meanwhile, there's a small white sign on Bristol Road at the park entrance pointing people to the tax office.

Loftus said that it costs $7,000 to mail the tax bills out.

But she has a great track record.

Last March, Loftus sent out 10,400 bills. By late December, 94 percent of the residents have paid their tax bills.

This year, she just hopes they get the address correct.
