Virtual Learning Day Friday At Centennial SD Due To Weather Warning
A winter storm warning begins at 4 a.m. Friday, as parts of the Philadelphia metro could get 4 to 6 inches of snow.
WARMINSTER, PA — The Centennial School District will have a flexible (virtual) instruction day on Friday, due to an incoming snowstorm that could make travel conditions dangerous for staff and students.
"By utilizing (this) option, we aim to minimize interruption to the scope and sequence of our learning program while also avoiding future calendar changes which can be required when we cancel school for the day(s)," district officials said.

The district also asked support staff to review the Inclement Weather Emergency Guidelines for 2023/24.
Forecasters issued a winter storm warning in Lower Bucks County beginning at 4 a.m. Friday and lasting until 10 p.m. Snowfall is scheduled to begin Friday morning and could bring 4 to 6 inches of accumulation.

The National Weather Service advised people in the Philadelphia metro area to avoid driving on Friday, "as road conditions will deteriorate as the day progresses."
The metro area has not had a winter storm warning since Jan. 29, 2022, so it has been close to two years since there have been significant impacts from snow in the area.
