Warminster Library to Host Immigration Author

Professor Zeke Hernandez will discuss his research and book, "The Truth About Immigration," at the Warminster Library on Feb. 21.

WARMINSTER TOWNSHIP, PA — With ICE an everyday topic in the nation, the Warminster Library will host a professor who will provide some immigration insights.

The library will host Max and Bernice Garchik Family Presidential Associate Professor Zeke Hernandez for a talk on immigration on Saturday, Feb. 21.

Hernandez, from the Wharton School, will discuss his book, "The Truth About Immigration: Why Successful Societies Welcome Newcomers," Peter Lehu, the library's director said.

The event aims to provide an evidence-based perspective on how newcomers affect local communities and the nation. Hernandez's book and talk will combine personal stories with research to explore the complexities of immigration.

His research suggests that a regulated open border immigration policy benefits the economy, American culture, and the safety and health of American communities. Hernandez is a prize-winning researcher and a highly-rated teacher at Wharton.

Tickets for the event cost $10. They can be purchased at the information desk of the Warminster Library or by calling 215-672-4362.

Copies of Hernandez's book will be available for sale courtesy of the Doylestown Bookshop.

All proceeds from the event will be donated to the Nationalities Service Center. This Philadelphia-based non-profit provides services to new immigrants. The Warminster Library is located at 1076 Emma Lane in Warminster, Pennsylvania.

The library, a Pennsylvania Library Association Gold-Star-certified library, is dedicated to providing access to information, arts, culture, and civic resources for Warminster and several surrounding communities in Bucks County.
